We collect personal data, as provided by customers and website visitors, to process transactions in our shop, fulfil orders and keep people up to date about our products and services

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful basis we rely on for processing this information is: Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting info@finchesfriend.com or writing to the address above.
How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored using third party secure cloud services contracted by Finches Friend.
We keep personal identifiers and contact information on our customers and site visitors for one year. We will then anonymise your information, removing all of your personal data from our active records and destroying any physical media containing identifiers where it exists. In the case of physical media destruction, this would be undertaken by a specialist company.
For site visitors who have signed up to receive newsletters and other updates, we will hold information indefinitely, while providing an opportunity to opt out on every electronic communication we issue.
We keep information about our staff (identifiers, appraisals, contracts of employment) on an ongoing basis, and up to six years after an employee has left the company. We will then dispose of your information by anonymising active records and destroying any physical media containing identifiers where it exists. In the case of physical media destruction, this would be undertaken by a specialist company.
